Volta do Mundo
Roughly translated this means "trip around the world" but, in the game of capoeira, volta do mundo is a sort of game inside the game. When someone gets tired, they can stop and walk around the inside edge of the roda. Their opponent must follow, walking closely but carefully, because at any moment the game could start again quickly with a surprise kick. You see new faces and it is a (sort of) breather, but you always have to stay present in the game.
I realize I haven't gone around the world, just to another hemisphere, but let's just go with it.
